What Equipment Do I Need For Boxing?
  • All classes or private training will need bag gloves, hand-wraps (we recommend 180inches) , skipping rope, indoor shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Competitive classes will also need a mouth guard, head gear, foul protector, and sparring gloves (16+oz), and boxing shoes

What Size Gloves Do I Need?
  • Typically you will want 12 or 14oz bag gloves. It will depend on things like your size, how hard you hit, and what your preference it. Smaller kids would want to get 10 or 12oz, small adults would need 12 or 14oz. Try them on at the store and see what fits you the best

Where Do I Get Equipment?
  • The best place for equipment in Calgary is at Classic Fight Shop. You can also go somewhere more generic like SportCheck

How Do I Register For Classes?
  • Registration is online under our classes tab. Just fill out the form and come to your first class

When Can I Start?
  • You can join our classes anytime

Can I try a class?
  • Yes, you can try a youth or recreational class. Please email us to schedule a date (no drop ins allowed for our competitive class)

I have never boxed before, can I register for your classes?
  • Please email us and schedule a free 30 minute session to learn the basics before registering for our monthly classes.

What payments do you accept?
  • We can only take cash, cheque, or etransfer at this time. We do not have debit or credit options

How can I spar?
  • Only registered athletes may participate in sparring. This is reserved for our competition class, however, we do have some occasional light sparring that is  for recreational members (not during classes, this is booked on additional training times). You must still be registered with Boxing Canada (including your medical form) and participate minimum 2 days per week in class.

Is there sparring in your recreational class?
  • No. The recreational class will sometimes have partnered technical drills, but there is no sparring.

Is there contact in your youth classes?
  • No. Our youth class teaches all boxing skills and fitness, and there will occasionally be technical partner drills but there is no sparring.

What does non profit mean?
  • Our club does not have employees and we are run by a board of directors. Our coaches are volunteers, and we put tireless energy into the club for the love of the sport. We do expect our competitive members to help us when we need volunteer roles filled for various activities
